Moravia is a historical country and now part of the Czech Republic. When these coins were struck, it was a duchy (or technically, a 'margraviate') in the Holy Roman Empire.
These are rare coins. As long as the inscriptions are legible and the design can be identified, they command a high value, as listed below:
24 KREUZER - 29 mm diameter
worn: $100 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $300
well preserved: $500
48 KREUZER - 37 mm diameter
worn: $250
average circulated: $750
well preserved: $1000
Look at the beautiful toning on the 24 kreuzer in our picture. The toning brings out the pattern, making it quite readable. This coin was sold for just over $300 in an auction by Kunker GmbH & Co. in Osnabruck, Germany during October 2005. It would probably be worth more today. CoinQuest thanks Kunker for use of their coin image.
