Italy (Lombardy-Venetia) 1, 3 and 5 Centesimi 1839 to 1846

These coins were issued under Ferdinand I of Austria, but are from the Italian Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia. Ferdinand's father had been Holy Roman Emperor, and some of the dominions were passed down as a sort of political inheritance.

These are small denomination coins struck in copper - there are 100 centesimi in one lira. They were struck in both Vienna (coins with the V mint mark) and in Milan (coins with the M mint mark). See values below. These values apply to all dates and mint marks, except as noted.
