Marshall Islands Commemorative 1/2, 1, 2 1/2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 75, and 100 Dollars 1986 to 1998

There are over 1000 islands in Micronesia's Marshall Islands. The population is about 70,000 people and the American dollar is the official currency.

Since 1986 the Marshall Islands have issued coins for collectors only. These coins do not circulate and support trade. Instead, they are sold to collectors who enjoy placing coins from exotic places in their collections. Many new patterns are created every year, so coin catalogs fill up quickly with pages and pages of pictures of Marshall Island coins, as shown in our second picture.

All values on this page are catalog values for uncirculated coins. These values apply to all dates except as noted. Many dates come as proof coins and these values apply to proof as well as normal coins.
