Bermuda issued these beautiful one crown silver coins in 1959 and 1964. The 1959 coins show the sailing ships Deliverance and Patience on the reverse, while the 1964 coins show a lion holding a shield. Each coin contains silver, and that makes them worth at least their silver value. Coins in excellent condition are worth more than silver value.
CROWN DATED 1959: 0.841 troy ounces silver
CROWN DATED 1964: 0.364 ounces silver
First, compute the base value (BV) of your coin. Do this by multiplying the silver content by the current price of silver. At this writing, silver is trading at about $15 US dollars per troy ounce (look it up, tomorrow it will be different), so the BV of a 1959 crown is 0.841 x 15 = $12.60 US dollars.
If your coin is in good shape, there will be added collector value, as follows:
CROWN DATED 1959
worn: BV
average circulated: BV
well preserved: BV + $8 US dollars approximate catalog value
fully uncircualted: BV + $15
CROWN DATED 1964
worn: BV
average circulated: BV
well preserved: BV
fully uncirculated: BV + $5 US dollars approximate catalog value
