Mexico 8 Escudos Tourist Coin (Counterfeit) 1714

Mexico 8 Escudos Tourist Coin (Counterfeit) 1714

A genuine gold 8 escudos from 1714 would be worth a bundle. This, however, is a reproduction made of base metal for tourists. Most of the time it is seen with different patterns on either side, but this one has the same pattern on both sides.

All these coins are worth a few US dollars to novelty hunters. A dealer would not buy one, or, perhaps offer a very small amount.
