Jamaica 10 Dollars 1999 to 2005

Jamaica 10 Dollars 1999 to 2005

These ten dollar coins were struck in nickel-plated steel and feature the likeness of George William Gordon, a 19th century Jamaican businessman who became a national hero after being executed by Edward John Eyre, the Governor of Jamaica at the time. Gordon was critical of Eyre's policies. Later, many wanted to convict Eyre of murder.

These coins are worth face value. A fully uncirculated coin might sell to a collector for perhaps $5 US dollars, but only if it has great eye-appeal. The example in our picture might sell for $1 to a novice collector.
