Token Ireland 5 and 10 Pence 1805 to 1813

The Bank of Ireland wanted to be sure everyone knew what this coin was. It was not a coin, but a bank token, issued to help alleviate the severe coin shortage in Great Britain during the late 1700s and early 1800s. They are struck in silver and come in 5 and 10 pence denominations. Some have shamrock designs on the reverse side.

Finding worn examples is not too difficult, but tokens in better condition tend to pick up significant collector values.
