Egypt 50 Piastres (Cleopatra) 2007 to 2010

Wow, that's a neat coin, Mia! It is none other than Queen Cleopatra herself on this 50 piastres from Egypt. It's hard to miss her serpentine headdress!

Over recent years Egypt has minted several different coins using the Cleopatra image. Between 2007 and 2010, they minted the 50 piastre coin for regular circulation. But other years Cleopatra coins were minted in pure silver and gold for sale to collectors. This page applies only to the circulating 50 piastres.

Circulating 50 piaster coins are made of brass plated steel. Collectors like to add them to their collections, but they are not very valuable, as follows
