Burmann had as a textile factory, now a number of textile shops throughout the Netherlands. Their main store is now in Groniingen, called Essenza. This is an old advertising token for Burmann. The phrase VERGOEDING BIJ AANKOOP VAN 4.50 means COMPENSATION FOR PURCHASE 4:50, so if you bought 5.00 worth of goods, the last 50 cents was free. Nice!
