Fiji issued two special coins to commemorate its 10 years of independence in 1980:
- a 50 cent piece in copper-nickel
- a 10 dollar piece in silver (0.457 troy ounces)
These are popular issues. If you have the silver $10 piece, first compute BV (base value) by multiplying the current price of silver by 0.457. For instance, if silver is selling at $15 US dollars per troy ounce (be sure to look it up), then BV = 0.457 x 15 = $6.85.
