Australia Sovereign and Half Sovereign 1911 to 1932

Australia Sovereign and Half Sovereign 1911 to 1932

Hello Ace -- These are really neat coins. You can tell if your coin is from Australia or not by looking for a tiny mint mark under St. George the dragon slayer. Get out your magnifier. The mint mark is difficult to see. With no mint mark, the coin is from the UK. With a mint mark the coin is from Australia or Canada.

There are also two sizes of this coin: sovereign and half sovereign. Tell them apart by measuring their diameter.

We have a page dedicated to George V sovereigns and half sovereigns from all countries. There are a few good dates and mint marks, but most are worth only their gold value. For a complete explanation, please go to this page [PRESS HERE].
