Back at the time of the US California gold rush (mid-1800s), a troy ounce of gold was worth $16 US dollars. (Gold today trades roughly at 75 times that value.) Meyers & Company produced reference weights at $18 per troy ounce, a sure way to get attention and, presumably, customers.
There is one known Meyers ingot in existence today. It is very valuable, selling in the neighborhood of $100,000 US dollars. Any ingot you see to today is a copy. The copies sell for $5 to $10.
A coin dealer might pay a dollar or two to buy one from you.
