Malawi is a small country in southeastern Africa. They are on a decimal coinage system now, but, before 1970 they used the old British system of pence, shillings and crowns.
The six pence coin is made of copper-nickel and carries collector value as follows:
worn: less than $1 US dollar approximate catalog value
average circulated: less than $1
well preserved: $1
fully uncirculated: $3
Sixpence dated 1967 are slightly more rare than other dates. If you have a 1967 coin, double the catalog values above.
Be sure to read our Important Terminology page which gives details of how to convert catalog values to actual buy and sell values.
