Germany (Prussia) Homage 1840

Medal Germany (Prussia) Homage 1840

This silver medal was produced in the old German State of Prussia. It was struck in homage of the city of Konigsberg for the new king Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Diameter is 41.5 mm.

The medal in our picture comes from Heritage Auctions where it sold for $375 US dollars during a 2013 auction. The fields have toned darkly, but the devices stand out nicely giving excellent eye appeal. CoinQuest thanks Heritage for use of their photo.
