PENNY: 34 mm diameter
HALF PENNY: 27 mm diameter

Catalog values run like this:

PENNY
worn: $20 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $80
well preserved: $250
fully uncirculated: $600

HALF PENNY
worn: $10 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $30
well preserved: $80
fully uncirculated: $250

Requester Charlie's coin is shown in our second picture (right). Unfortunately, Charlie's coin has been ruined by a harsh cleaning, probably with copper polish or silver polish. To make matters worse, there are large smudges over the cleaned surfaces. Charlie's coin is worth $5 or less.
