These coins were issued for the 'International Year of the Child.' There are three denominations:
10 MILLIEMES: 19 mm diameter, aluminum bronze
5 PIASTRES: 23 mm diameter, copper-nickel
1 POUND: 33 mm diameter, 0.347 troy ounces silver
The non-precious coins are worth small amounts:
10 MILLIEMES AND 5 PIASTRES:
worn: less than $1 US dollar approximate catalog value
average circulated: less than $1
well preserved: $1
fully uncirculated: $2
The silver coin is worth its weight in silver. If silver is selling for $15 US dollars per troy ounce, the 1 pound is worth 0.347 x 15 = $5. If you have a 1 pound coin which is absolutely, completely uncirculated, add $2 to the silver value.
