Germany (Baden) 2 and 5 Mark (Golden Anniversary) 1906
This coin celebrates the 50th anniversary of King Friedrich I and his wife Luise, princess of Prussia. There are two denominations:
2 (ZWEI) MARK: 0.322 troy ounces silver
5 (FUNF) MARK: 0.804 ounces silver
Compute the base value (BV) by multiplying the silver content by the current price of silver. For instance, for silver selling at $15 US dollars per troy ounce, BV = 0.804 x 15 = $12 US dollars.
Unless the coin is damaged, value will be more than BV, as follows:
2 (ZWEI) MARK
worn: BV + $5 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: BV + $15
well preserved: BV + $25
fully uncirculated: BV + $50
5 (FUNF) MARK
worn: BV + $25 US dollars approximate catalog value

The coin in our picture is in nice shape, with almost no wear and good eye appeal. It would probably sell to a collector for $125 or so, and a dealer would probably offer $85.
