Chile One Centavo and Half Centavo 1835 to 1853

These are among the early decimal coinage of Chile. They sport a single bold star on one side, and the wreathed denomination on the other side:

1 CENTAVO: un centavo
1/2 CENTAVO: medio centavo

The inscription ECONOMIA ES RIQUEZA means ECONOMY IS WEALTH.

These coins are sought by collectors and that gives them value. Higher values kick in for coins in well preserved condition. The listings below apply to all dates.
