Yo Edy,
These grand old coins were minted by the New World colonies of Spain between 1772 and 1788 during the reign of Carolus (Charles) III. You will find many similar coins and, taken together, they are known as Spanish Milled Colonial Coinage.
First, the bad news for Edy. If your coin looks like our picture, and I suspect it does, since you indicate 'little or no wear,' it is a modern counterfeit coin worth zero. Genuine specimens are very hard to find. There is another fake on this CoinQuest page which is a little harder to detect.
The good news would come if your coin is genuine. See the image at the bottom of this page for a side-by-side comparison of real and fake coins.
Evaluating these coins takes a little work. Click to this CoinQuest page for pictures and evaluations.
Some close scrutiny uncovers differences between real and fake versions of this coin.
