Lebanon Cedar Tree 5, 10, 25, and 50 Piastres 1968 to 1980

Lebanon Cedar Tree 5, 10, 25, and 50 Piastres 1968 to 1980

The cedars of Lebanon have always been famous, even back in Bible times at the beginning of recorded history about 4000 years ago. When the French Protectorate became the Republic of Lebanon in the mid 1900s, a strong and stately cedar tree graced many of the coins. The reverse sides look different, but it's hard to miss the cedar tree.

These modern coins carry face value, and are worthwhile for collectors only in nice, fully uncirculated condition. If you have an uncirculated example, a collector will likely pay a few US dollars to add it to his or her collection.
