Norway 5 Kroner 1963 to 1988

Norway 5 Kroner 1963 to 1988

Around 1965 it seems like the whole world quit making coins out of silver and started making them out of junk metal. Such is the case with your Norwegian 5 kroner. It is worth face value or, perhaps, a few US dollars if in excellent shape and you find a collector who needs an example for his or her collection.

I wonder if we kept making coins out of silver the world economy would be any different today? Hmmmm. Just a thought!
