Medal Germany Wurttemberg Industrial 1881
Back in 1881, under King Charles (Karl) the first, in the city of Stuttgart, in the old German State of Wurttemberg, they had a big industrial exhibition. Your medal was created as a commemorative of this exposition.
Our medal in the picture has the same inscriptions as yours, Derek, but the devices are different. Evidently more than one pattern was used to make the medals.
Medals do not have as large a collector following as legal tender coins. As such their price is lower. The pictured medal would probably sell retain for $30 to $80 US dollars. If a medal dealer bought it from you, he or she would probably pay about one-half the retail price.
