Haiti issued coins with this pattern in 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes denominations. The denomination is shown on the reverse side below the flags and cannons. All these coins are made of copper-nickel and carry decent collector value when in good shape. Many that you see are worn and these are worth very little. Dates range from 1904 to 1908. The date does not affect value.
NEVER CLEAN A COIN. CLEANING RUINS VALUE.
The coin in the photo is far from worn, and it commands a good premium as a collectible coin, cataloging near the $25 US dollar mark. To understand how catalog value relates to actual buy and sell price, please read our Terminology page.
