This is a big-time coin containing almost a full troy ounce (0.980 ounces) of gold. It was issued by Austria in 1908 to celebrate the 60-year reign of Emperor Franz Joseph (FRANC-IOS). The inscription DVODECIM LVSTRIS GLORIOSE PERACTIS means, approximately, 'sixty years gloriously accomplished.'
Only a few thousand of these coins were minted in 1908, so they can command some pretty high prices if well preserved without any problems like scratches, stains, cleainings, scuffs, and similar damage. At a minimum, even a totally mutilated coin would bring its gold value, i.e., 0.98 times the current price of gold (look it up on kitco.com).
NEVER CLEAN A COIN. CLEANING RUINS VALUE.
There are other Austrian 100 Corona gold coins of the period, and millions of these were struck. The 1908 version, with the reclining woman on the reverse, is much more rare. Here is what the catalog values would be for the 1908 coin:
worn: $1500 US dollars approximate catalog value
average circulated: $2000
well preserved: $2800
fully uncirculated: $4000

With such a valuable coin, you must be cognizant of two things. First, counterfeits are a strong possibility. Second, to thwart fakes and properly grade and protect your coin, submit it to PCGS, ICG, NGC, or ANACS for encapsulation. Look up these services on the Internet. Do not use other services.
