I like old copper coins. In America we have some neat old coppers, and in the Netherlands, they do too! The big W stands for King William.
Catalogs assign decent values to these old beauties. As always, the more wear, the less value. And problems like scratches, stains, cleanings, holes, and the like lower the value to almost zero. Be sure to apply the concepts on our Terminology page to the catalog values shown below.

1/2 cents dated after 1837 are much more common, divide these values by four
1/2 cents dated 1818 are very valuable, $4000 in average circulated condition
coins dated 1824, 1826, and 1828 are somewhat rare, $200 in average circulated
coins dated 1833 are rare, $600 in average circulated
