World League of Nations (SDN) Franc 1921

Token World League of Nations (SDN) Franc 1921

It does not take a whole lot to stump us, and Israel, you have surely done that!

The Societes des Nations (League of Nations) came together after World War I and, apparently, they minted a tiny octagonal gold 1 franc coin.

I can understand (sort of) using a tiny gold coin as a 'least common denominator' for a coin with world-wide circulation, but I cannot understand a simple SdN 1 franc pattern that is so easily counterfeited.

After noodling with reference material and on the Internet, the only bit of information I could find was on eBay seller isdbeast1's recent auction, where the pictured coin sold for an astounding $350 US dollars. We have been unable to acquire any more information.
