Brazil 500, 1000 Reis 1924 to 1931

Brazil issued many interesting patterns on their 500 and 1000 reis coins starting in 1906 and continuing until 1939, a new design every few years. The 1924 to 1931 coins are minted in aluminum bronze and carry low collector value. Here are some typical catalog values for these coins:

1000 reis dated 1929 and 1930 are more rare, cataloging for $14 in average circulated condition.
