Old copper coins from Jamaica bear the likeness of a British monarch on one side and the shield of Jamaica on the other. Denominations are penny, half penny, and farthing. A farthing is one-quarter of a penny. Some of these coins are minted in copper-nickel and others in nickel-brass.
