The small Caribbean island of Curacao is actually a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Wilhelmina minted several different coins for use in Curacao during the mid 1900s. The 1/10 and 1/4 gulden look different than most of the Curacaon coins because the side without the Queen is very plain. Other denominations have more elaborate designs. This page applies to the plain-backed pieces, like the one in the picture.
